Known as the “Miracle on the Hudson”, this is the incident that inspired the film “Sully” in which Tom Hanks played the titular captain. Leaving from LaGuardia on January 15th, 2009, skies were clear and things seemed to be going well until shortly after takeoff the pilot’s window was covered in feathers and wings-a flock of Geese had hit the plane.
